Great value on PolyLite PLA

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal on PLA. I snagged a couple of spools of PolyLite PLA during a flash sale, which made the price very competitive compared to other brands I was looking at. The checkout process was smooth, and the filament arrived without issue. It printed really nicely right out of the box. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth, especially with the discount.

Good filament, long shipping

I ordered some Polymaker PLA Pro a few weeks ago. The filament itself is great quality, printed really well with no clogs. My prints came out looking sharp. However, shipping took almost 10 days to get to me, which felt a bit slow. I wish there were faster shipping options, even if for an extra fee. Overall, I'm happy with the product, just factor in delivery time.

Got my PolyDryer

Needed a dryer for my filament, so I picked up the PolyDryer Box XL. It showed up pretty quick, like 5 days to reach me in California. Set it up, threw some old PETG in there that was getting brittle. After a few hours, it printed much better. Happy with it, does what it's supposed to do.

Detailed review of PolyFlex TPU95

I purchased a spool of PolyFlex TPU95 in black. Ordering was straightforward on the website, and I received an order confirmation almost immediately. The package arrived in good condition within about 6 business days. The filament itself was vacuum-sealed with desiccant, which is a good sign. Printing with it was relatively easy for a flexible material; I used a direct drive setup at 230C nozzle and 50C bed with a slow speed, and adhesion to my PEI sheet was excellent. Prints had good layer adhesion and flexibility as expected. The only minor point is the spool wasn't as neatly wound as some other brands I've used, but it didn't cause any tangles during printing. Overall, a solid performance for TPU.

Consistent quality, reliable service

I've been buying Polymaker PolyLite PLA for a while now, probably my fifth or sixth spool. They always deliver consistent quality, which is super important for my projects. This latest order was no exception. The filament was spooled perfectly, no tangles, and printed just like all the others. It's why I keep coming back – I know what to expect and they always meet it. Their customer service also helped me with a small shipping query last year really quickly. Good to see that hasn't changed.

Does polymaker do free shipping often? Or only on certain sales?

P Paula F. 1 month ago
They usually have free shipping if your order is over a certain amount. I think it's like $75 or something? Check their site, it's usually listed at the top.

A Alex F. 1 month ago
Yeah, it's pretty consistent for orders over X dollars. I haven't seen specific 'free shipping coupons' by themselves much, it's usually built into the minimum order value.

Thinking of trying out the PolyCarbonate. How hard is it to print with compared to, say, PETG? Any special tricks?

J Josh Okafor 1 month ago
PC is definitely trickier than PETG. You'll need a hot end that can handle higher temps, and an enclosure is almost a must to avoid warping. Also, dry it really well before printing.

Honestly, if you're comfortable with PETG, PC is a step up but not impossible. Just expect more stringing initially and definitely keep it dry. The PolyDryer Box XL helps a ton with that.

Has anyone used their Panchroma Gradient filaments? Do the colors blend smoothly or are they more like distinct sections?

S Steve 1 month ago
The gradient is pretty smooth, it's not like a hard line between colors. It depends on the size of your print how much you'll see the full fade, but it's gradual for sure.

C Carly Kaur 1 month ago
I got the Celestial one and it's a nice fade. You won't get a super quick transition on small parts, but for anything decent sized, it looks really cool. Definitely not blocky.

How long does shipping usually take to like, California? Trying to time an order for a project.

P Phil Hughes 1 month ago
From what I remember, if you order during the week, it usually gets to California in about 3-5 business days. Depends on how quickly they process it.

Mine arrived in like 4 days to LA last time. They're pretty quick with processing and shipping out orders. If you order on a Monday, you might even see it by Friday.

Need some ASA, thinking about the Fiberon ASA-CF08. How does it handle outdoor exposure? Will it stand up to sun and rain?

A Alex N. 4 weeks ago
ASA is built for outdoor stuff. That CF08 should hold up way better than ABS in UV and general weather. Just make sure to print it properly; it's still ASA so an enclosure helps.

C Chris 3 weeks ago
That's exactly what ASA is for. The carbon fiber fill should give it even more rigidity. My prints made with their ASA have been out in the sun for months and still look good.
